Everyone thought the story was the ancestor. Then the woman who went looking became the story. She Walked Through: 250 Years Later follows women who uncovered Black, white, and American Indian men and women ancestors who contributed to the American Revolution. Then they walked through the doors of the Daughters of the American Revolution, carrying those stories with them. The search led them to the patriot. But the journey revealed the woman.

You may come for the patriot. But you stay for the woman.
